Deep Tissue Massage is an applied pressure technique that targets the innermost layers of muscles and connective tissues. It releases knots, trigger points, and breaks up scarred tissues caused by strains, tendinitis, and other workout injuries.
Are you a fitness enthusiast? When you work the body hard with endurance exercise, it is inevitable at some point; you may get a stress fracture, muscular sprain, frozen shoulder, muscle spasm, Achilles heel, or inflamed joints. Adding this modality to your regular workouts is beneficial because it also releases stress, increases your range of motion, and gives you greater endurance and flexibility.
However, deep tissue massage can be intense, and may not be suitable for everyone. So be sure to speak with you massage therapist to discuss your tolerance level and endurance to deep pressure before your session begins.
